One can hardly visit a garage sale without finding at least on item of cranberry glass there. The stuff has been immensely popular for a long time, and many is the home where it decorates a wall, a table, a ceiling - or is in use to drink the odd refreshment from! As antiques shops, garage sales and auctions show, cranberry glass objects never remain unsold for long: the interest has never waned, and in fact seems to have gained speed recently.
Although much cranberry glass (or "gold ruby glass" as it's often called in Europe) dates back to the Victorian era and thus is considered antique glassware, many factories like Fenton have made it until recent time, and some are still producing it. Especially in the United States cranberry glass can be found brand new, and in the Czech Republic the classic Bohemian cranberry glass is also still made.
