About us

My name is Jaap Verduijn

Jaap, in a pensive mood...

In March 2006 I suddenly found myself without income, on account of being 44 votes short of re-election as a delightfully overpaid City Councillor. At age 60, after 8 years in politics, I didn't expect to be much head-hunted by eager employers. Thus... since one wife, two teenage daughters, seven cats, eight pet rats, two gerbils, ten rabbits and one dozen of assorted fowl loudly demanded to be fed, I decided to start working from home, on the internet, behind the faithful computer.

My wife Caroline and I testingly dipped our toes into unexplored cyber-waters. Within three months our feet were boiled up to the ankles, not to mention the sad fact that our last financial reserves had miraculously slipped away from us, straight into the coffers of various gurus, institutions, universities and "plans". To be fair: their programs may certainly have great potential for making other participants money - they just didn't work for us, in our circumstances.

We neither had much money nor experience. We didn't want to get tangled up in "plug-in-for-perfect-profit" sites that start out cheap, but then ask you to join one paid opportunity after another. Pyramid schemes would be avoided like the plague. Our project should produce residual income. We finished up with an endless list of requirements, eventually reduced to a shortlist.

Our new home business should:

Caroline, much better looking!

* only cost a small monthly investment;
* not need lots of paid upgrades;
* deliver a residual (ongoing) income;
* have a sound marketing system;
* be fairly "do-able" for newbies;
* sell an honest, true, real product.

Finding the right home business opportunity turned out to be difficult though: it took Caroline and me days of painstaking internet research before we came up with a program that met all our requirements - for the curious: that's Global Domains International which is even more effectively marketed via the SpiderWeb Marketing System. Later of course we found several more - but during the hunt for our first opportunity we were truly surprised how difficult it was to find the worthy wheat among the flighty chaff. It's not just that you should be on the lookout against crooks - it's also a sad fact that some "opportunities" are next to worthless.

But behind every obstacle lie opportunities! If we had a hard time discovering a safe, decent and legitimate work-at-home program, many others will experience the same problem... and "there's gold in them thar hills"! Every succesful internet business is firmly based on four strong pillars: motivation, duplication, imitation, cooperation... a foursome that prompted us to start our various websites of which "My Pet Classifieds" is a prime example. This website helps you advertise your home biz programs: cooperation. It enables you to follow proven methods: imitation. You will receive tools for mirroring succesful websites: duplication. And last but not least, we'll provide you with valuable free extras that no other opportunity offers: motivation.
